Sara
Prone to random impulse decisions, Sara tried aerials for the first time in 2016 to see if her half-fused spine would allow it and fell in love. With time, she has added Acro, fire spinning and whip cracking to her repertoire. As a classically trained musician, she loves the creativity and freedom, along with friendships and movement that comes with being a Torch Sister.
Michelle
Michelle first fell in love with hula hooping in 2009 at a music festival, back when the hoops were big and bulky and flow felt like a slow dance. Once she found Acro yoga in 2012, she was officially hooked and went down the circus and aerial rabbit hole which lead her to co-founding Torch Sisters with friends.
Kerri
Kerri, co-founder of Torch Sisters, first started hula hooping on a road trip in 2009; marking the beginning of a new adventure in learning all sorts of crazy new skills with friends. Kerri loves performing and fire dancing. She aspires to help other women feel strong, beautiful, and to never hesitate to try something new.
Rachel
Rachel fell in love with aerials in 2016. She loves the combination of artistry, athleticism and personal expression that performing requires. She performs pole, aerial silks, lyra, lollipop pole, acro, veil fans, and fire fans. When she isn’t teaching or performing, she is painting (and always has original artwork for sale on her IG), cooking or spending time with her dogs and family.
Fiona
Fiona’s flow arts journey started in 2016 when she discovered her love of hula hooping at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Two years later she was introduced to the world of aerials and shortly thereafter fire spinning. When she's not spinning in circles in the Lyra you can find her at music festivals and concerts with her husband and friends.
Liz
Liz started her circus journey in 2018 when looking to try something new. With a background in dance, she naturally gravitated to the world of aerials. She signed up for an intro class at Moonrise Aerials and was instantly drawn into the community, and creativity of aerial arts. Today Liz is a certified aerial instructor at Moonrise and as a member of the Torch Sisters she performs on aerial hammock, hula hoop, fire hoop and more.
Jennie
Jennie started her aerial journey in 2017 with pole and quickly transitioned into the more pliable silks. In addition to silks, she loves lyra and chair dance! Like many in 2020, she needed a new hobby and began fire spinning and loves dropping jaws in the fire crown. Outside of her circus life, she enjoys sports, concerts, and volunteering in the community.
Coco
Coco LaFousfous is an entertainer extraordinaire. A dancer of both ground and aerial, she is known for her unique performance style. She works as a Choreographer, Teacher, Content Creator, Aerial Acrobat, Burlesque performer, Flow artist and Circus Professional. While currently located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, her wild nature keeps her traveling around the country.
Ellie
Ellie started learning aerial dance in 2021, and since then she has enjoyed practicing other circus and dance styles. She loves to perform and get creative as much as possible! She performs various aerials, fire and dance. Outside of the Torch Sisters, she spends her time cooking, traveling and making art.
Roxanne
Roxanne, a lifelong learner, and collector of hobbies and new experiences started aerials in 2018 and fire spinning and flow arts in 2020. Her favorite props include Lyra, hooping, dragon staff, and dancing with silk fans. She’s also the Torch Sister’s roller-skating expert. She currently owns Moonrise Aerials and enjoys nature and movement of any kind.
Avery
Avery got hooked on aerials in 2019 and hasn’t looked back since. She loves lyra, hammock, silks, chains, fire fans and belts. Anything that makes your brain wonder “How does that work? Could I do that?”, Avery’s got to try it. She’s been teaching at Moonrise Aerials for a couple of years now. In between her day job with animals and aerial fun with the Torch Sisters and Moonrise Aerials, Avery loves spending time with her 2 cats watching true crime.
Arlo
A life long mover and groover, its believed that Arlo learned to somersault before she could walk. Arlo kisses the flame and takes to the sky with 15 years of gymnastics experience, 4 years of aerial dance and performance and 2 years of fire dance.
